Book covers

The book covers on this site are our own drawings in the spirit of the real covers, so that you can recognise your child's book. They are not the publishers' artwork, and héhéChinese is not connected to the publishers. The title 中文 is set in Ma Shan Zheng (SIL Open Font License).

Fonts

Baloo 2, Nunito (Cyrillic), Andika (pinyin), Noto Sans SC and Ma Shan Zheng — SIL Open Font License 1.1 (each name opens its licence). The font files come from the Fontsource packages and are served from this site: no request goes to Google.

Notifications and privacy

Notifications are optional and only start after you turn them on and allow them on your phone. For each device we keep: the delivery address from your phone's notification service (Apple, Google or Mozilla), its encryption keys, the site language, the type of device and browser, and the date. No name, no e-mail, no IP address. Turn them off with the button on the home page (the address is deleted at once) or in your phone's settings (it is deleted with the next message). Visit statistics: Rybbit, without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
